This role is based in our Glasgow office. At ORR we have adopted hybrid working and are currently expected to work from a workplace location for a minimum of two days per week or 40%.
ORR's Regulatory Strategy & Reform team sits within the SPR Directorate. The directorate leads ORR’s work on rail reform, access to the rail network, the licensing of rail operators, international policy, and our role in protecting rail passengers by monitoring and enforcing passenger-facing licence conditions as well as consumer law. We work closely with colleagues across ORR, as well as with governments, Network Rail and other stakeholders.
We are recruiting a Senior Executive to our team to support our monitoring and economic regulation of Network Rail in Scotland.
This is an important role and is part of our broader work monitoring Network Rail’s performance and holding it to account for compliance with its licence conditions, for meeting the requirements of Scottish Ministers which and for efficient expenditure of the £4 billion of funding that Network Rail Scotland receives from the Scottish Government.
This role covers a wide range of diverse and exciting issues and there will be significant opportunity within the role to develop your knowledge and experience across a range of subject areas.
